About us

Our Story

In December 2014 we brought the Wagener Estate back into the family, site of and home to my great- great- great- great- grandparents David and Rebecca Wagener. The history of the Wagener Estate goes back to 1794 when my grandparents David and Rebecca Wagener came to the area from Pennsylvania after the revolutionary war, and were among the 1 st settlers to inhabit the area. David acquired over 690 acres of land, built saw and grist mills on the canal that connects Keuka and Seneca lake on property where the village of Penn Yan now sits. Our family, heritage, and this property are steeped in the rich history of this amazing place called the Finger Lakes, we are so excited and honored to have it back in the family after over 200 years.

We look forward to your experiencing the Wagener Estate Bed & Breakfast, expect to leave richer than when you came!

Best Regards,

George and Maryann Reigelsperger
